The Taunton Area meet covers from Burnham on Sea to Taunton and surrounding areas,
We regularly have members from Exeter, Yeovil & Bristol too!
Both T4 & T5 owners are welcome,
AS OF JUNE 2010, THE AREA HAS BEEN TAKEN OVER BY T4CHIPPY

I live and work just outside Birmingham, but I'm a Taunton boy! Always looking for a gud excuse to come back 'home' for a few days! A perfect excuse to come down!!!

I meet with the GTI (VW) lot in the harvester just off the M5 as it's very easy to get to and find as well as having a big car park...
yeah id be interested, depends on the day as im kinda split between 3 places at the moment.

Exeter bod new to T4 ownership and keen for help/ideas/inspiration on getting van sorted - windows,seats,towbar,spare wheel,interior lining,etc. Would be really keen on a meet nearby (Taunton qualifies). Any help or sources on the above items in the meantime would be greatly appreciated.

I got it, I got it, had it since april for my n devon meet, although that was a weekend meet it was 37 vans turned up over the weekend. Maybe we need two tropheys, one for the monthley meets and one for the other meets apart from shows. t4 team its up to you.

Sorry we didn't make it. We planned to wander down early eve, we only live 2 mins walk from the Harvester.
Earlier in the day we had been in town and were walking back to the car, planning to drive home and walk straight down, when some birds flew over and all decided to take a s:ct directly over head! Got me and covered the push chair with both babs in it. Ripley took a direct hit on her head and Dexter got a load too! :eek:
By the time we got them home, had baths and sorted ourselves out, we just couldn't be bothered!
Maybe next time, hopefully we will have the van back by then.

The meets are every second wednesday of the month so the next one will be 9th of July, They are being held at the Harvester pub on the M5 roundabout at Taunton 7.30pm onwards.

Ignore the dark side.... i never liked hi-tops until I saw yours and now I'd even consider fitting one!!! (but won't) Those rims are cool though
Oh and cheers for pointing out the alt bolt thing, I undid the bolt today, gave the alternator a whack (with the palm of my hand) and it sprung to the end of the slot, did it up and no squeal yet, :D I'm popping out in a min so that will be the real test!
However, the belt still doesn't feel that tight to me (not that I know much) and it's as tight as it will go now isn't it? Brand new gen VW belt... will see how it is!

Bit of plastic not attached which has got a little scuffed, drivers base very slightly worn but not ripped or holed, rear of one of them a little scuffed.
As for your smile problem, if you click on one, it should insert something into the box where you typing e.g. for :) it will insert : ) (without the space between the colon and the bracket) for LOL: the shortcut is L O L : (with no spaces between letters and colon) sad is : ( :( shocked is :eek: : e e k : ;) is ; )
