View Full Version : Central Hampshire Meet
I see there are Surrey / Hampshire Meets in Farnham which is quite a trek from parts of Hampshire and the meets in Dorset the other side of Poole, does anyone know of any more central.
We are planning a poole central meet. Will prob be Shore Road (Sandbanks) but may do the bournemouth sea front as well.
Not really any better for you but an idea.

Where are you in Southampton dude?
As for Sandbanks yukkkk full of grockles!!! better to be along the coast a bit maybe but I would be up for it as need all the advice I can get with my shed
Just up in sunny Rownhams, I would rather drive to poole than farnham though, and boscombe surfer? I check

Plenty of T4's in the Portsmouth, Fareham and Southampton area's so coud always have a meet somewhere round there, although Poole/Bournemouth isnt too far -A Weeknight would be cool.

Why dont you arrange a meet Vented? sure you'll have a few takers
I,m from Southampton to...always up for a meet if time allows Work 7 days a week.
Let us know if a local one is planned .
Aly ;)
I think I will, just got to work out a decent venue, and no i was not there at the weekend, fingers crossed for this week, although i am checking woolacombe every day as well, joy of running your own company....instant days off....wife allowing lol but if you see a white t4 and someone possibly equally in the water suffering on a new 7'6" that is truly unstable at the moment and in small surf ni impossible ha ha its me really!!.

Vented ... cool dude its all about the smiles ... good to know I can drop in on you anytime Rasp:
Sort this meet out just anywhere and we can all hook up and decide where is a good place for the future, and hopefully i can pinch someones wheels when they are not looking I:
Will do, in the meantime whats your T4 look like in case i see it round town, oh and my locking nuts came direct from Wolfrace and are very good Rasp:
Re-opening this idea now the dorset meet has moved further away (no offense guys). So anyone from Southampton through Salisbury, Portsmouth etc, let us know, I have discussed this with a few others and it is certainly viable just down to location. I am thinking the malthouse in Romsey as a temporary start, it has a huge car park and as big a beer garden so perfect for summer and if it rains we go inside.
Anyone interested please let me know along with suggestions on time and day of the month and Scott, I hope the Portasurfer will be in attendance.

so maybe we could look at somewere abit closer to southampton just a sujestion any one no where the red shoot is in the new forest? i think it would make a great location for a meet but weve got to think about all the other t4 people on the dorchester side of poole just a thought T:
bring hampshire and dorset together and meet on the border fairs fair T:
I think we did one in a pub off J2 a couple of years ago.....
I'm all for more the merrier, I'm bournemouth side of Southampton and Bakers arms is still a 70 mile round trip, Hants and Surrey meet is an 80 mile round trip, you start bringing it closer to Southampton ie the forest (which is a great location) and those from Dorcester end up in the same boat with a long cross country drive, not to mention those from pompey having a mammoth drive as well. Add this to a 5.30 - 6pm work finish and its a struggle.
This was why I though a central hants meet may be an idea, there are some sweet looking vans I have seen in Portsmouth / Southsea, a growing few in Winchester and certainly a few around Southampton. I'm up for a meet and if theres a good sunny month and your in the car park at Sandbanks for a BBQ again we could always arrange to have a cruise down on mass to share a burger!
Only thoughts!! A:

maybe you should organise a hampshire meet then we could do a hampshire and dorset meet every 3 months or so in a mutual spot/venue
think this would be good any votes maybe even do a show once a year T:

Pearly whites has nailed it ..... :ILU:
Im up for a Hampshire meet, Im liking Vented's idea of the Malthouse in Timsbury but im biased as its my closest pub! :D Forrest sounds good tho, The Sir Walter Tyrrell is pretty good.
Sir Walter Tyrrel would be good but to be fair to those from the Portsmouth area we need to be looking east rather than west, I suggested the malthouse as it has a good size car park right next to the beer garden and its on a main road, all perfect credentials, we can always move the meet on from there next time round if there are better suggestions .
Thats a possible 6 vans to start, must be a few more we can pick up on the way but that would form a meet as I can see it with a 3 monthly cruise to Poole. T:
Any preferences on day of the month and location (that old chestnut!).
Suggesting Tuesday 4th of August as a starting date, this will give enough time to build up any extra interest and decide on a meeting place, for now I would say the Malthouse from 6.30pm onwards, purely for parking and the garden and access from the M27 as well, 5 minutes from Jct 3. But still open to suggestions.
Malthouse Inn, Stockbridge Rd, Timsbury, Romsey, SO51 0NG

i'm liking what you said pearly whites!!! about red shoot, used to go there all the time, its real nice pub and nice place to meet. i'm with ya on that one. would be up for that meet. :-)
The Red Shoot is a nice pub but still a fair old trek for the Portsmouth and Dorchester Guys alike, Pearly Whites mentioned a 3 monthly meet with a cruise to Poole for us which is a winner as far as im concerned, bit of variety is always good.
Location suggestions are more than welcome, i am not that knowledgeable with the Park Gate to Whiteley/Segensworth area which would be the ideal meeting area if anyone knows a good location. T:
For details on this meet see the thread on Southampton, Portsmouth (http://www.vwt4forum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=43683) etc for the time being.
Tuesday 4th of August for the first one! A:
