Well we set off for Cornwall/Devon on the 26th after summerfest, first stop is Putsborough sands as I have a surf lesson booked with nbsurf on the Monday then after that go where the mood takes us H:, hopefuly get a lot of Surfing, Kayaking, Skimboarding Etc. in, we are staying for 2 weeks, Rennie212 and Andycapandy maybe joining us down there and anyone else is very welcome to join us T:
You should be around for the next cornwall meet first wednesday of August i think????
If that's Wednesday the 5th then we'll be in Cornwall too. :D
I daresay that we could well put in an appearance.....

im in newquay from the 26th mite bump into a few of uT:
I will be in newquay from the 2ND wednesday of august but i will miss the meet by a week :bhd but i will see you lot around town staying on porth camp site for the 3rd time this year but this time its for 2 1/2 weeks.
one day i hope to move down that way so i can cut down my fuel bill as i have done 13000
miles in 10 months and it is killing me with the cost LOL:
We will be down there too at Gwithian Farm site from this Saturday (18th)
for 2 weeks :) can't wait...we'll be the two loons waving furiously T:

the one thing I haven't thought about is the whole "i don't own a surfboard" issue, just looking at hire prices and it looks like £10 a day is about the going rate which over two weeks is £140:( does anyone know where I can get a good deal from? or does anyone have one for sale as it might be cheaper to buy a second hand one than hiring one, I have never surfed before, so a beginner board is all i need, but one that I can use for a year or so before I have to upgrade T:

Buy one on ebay, list it ending 2 days before you leave and state pickup from where you are :-)
Free surfing, may even make a few quid
I need a surfboard still............. :confused:

I've had a few people ask if they can grab a EGR Blanking plate off me when I'm down there, so i'm going to take a few with me, if anyone wants one just give me a shout. T:

It is also the North Devon regional meeting on the Monday night (7 pm). Just 5 miles down the road at the Tarka Inn between Barnstaple and Braunton, on the main road. A warm welcome for any visiting T4 owners. :ILU:
Well we are down in Cornwall now stopped for my surf lesson with Nigel (nbsurf) on Monday, what can I say, the guy knows his stuff had me up on the board in no time!!! :ILU: weather is rubbish at the moment so had no chance to get back in the water hopefully I can remember all the hints and tips! If anyone else is thinking about having some lessons, I highly recommend Nigel!!! Fantastist start to our (wet) holidayA:

Bring a coat and a hat as your need them when your out of the water. Its very messy surf at the moment but the rain should not stop you from the wet salty stuff. It cleans you off when you get out. Free showers H:

Yes no worries, Only prob is i am not sure if they would still be frozen when i get down to you (unsure how long they would last in frezzer bag with ice pack)

Had a great time in cornwall, i'm at torquey tonight before heading back tommorrow:(
Had lots of waves from bays/splits t4s/T5s.
Very funny thing when i was following gazagee in his T4 in newquey ,somone waved at gaz who was in front on me, i waved as well and got tottally blanked :confused:
Just cos im in a T5?
I can understand not waving to anyone, But to just wave at t4's only, Its all just for fun is'nt it? H:

Wow! You guys look like you had an amazing time!! :cool: Wish we were there!!! :)
We were planning on heading down that way until our van started playing up!!! Managed to get a 10 day tour around Scotland first though before we limped back home. Getting it looked at on Monday but it looks like the injectors need replacing :( which is circa £500 worth OUCH!!!!
Not sure if we'll manage Shell Island due to wonga etc etc but what dates are you lot heading to Shell Island and how long for (just in case) as Charis wants to go kayaking with you lot (heaven knows why lmao!!) Will be her first trip in the van (completed) and her first time kayaking too!

Hope you manage to get the van sorted and as cheaply as possable. I am heading down shell island this friday/saturday. Going to stay for about a week but depends on the weather really. Scotty 156 is coming on the thursday i belive.
Brandon would love it if charis came down, and i hope you guys can make it.

Nope, we didn't know we were up in Scotland either. Do you remember me saying we were off to the Lakes for 2 days a couple of weeks ago? - well Scotland is where we ended up LOL: The van wanted to keep on heading north so we let her - all the way up to John O'Groats!!!
Found some fabulous wild camping places - had an amazing time.
Just off to take the van to the garage - will let you know the diagnosis - fingers crossed x
