you need to contact the rozzers asap, i had this happen to me with a mk5 golf gti i had, they some how got my reg, and put them on a nicked gti from birmingham, it was chased up and down the m6 at high speed after an armed robbery at a post office! The police came looking for me:eek:
where abouts in lincolnshire are you there are few of us on here most seem to be grimsby louth area will keep a look out up here there is one member i know here with a van the same as yours il tell him to be on the watch
May be worth starting to rivet plates on now? or not standard/glued up screw head.
We got the cops to fix ours on with security bolts - they were doing a push in East London for free.
These are on Ebay at £1.99, may be a deterrent. The Police are giving them away free in some areas, worth checking.

good idea- quick question- how do you get them off if you need to?
As others have said report to rozzers and get a crime number/referance.
We had our plates stolen off our car 3 years ago when it was parked at halfords in broad day light. Nothing came of it though.
Then, bugger me:eek:, my T5 plates have been cloned recently. Ive got crimes refs etc form the police so will see what happens this time.
Hope you get this resolved soon and nothing comes of it.
Sounds like they're going to nick a van of the same colour and bang your plates on so as to avoid suspicion from the law... Post details of your van so that members close by can keep an eye on their vans...

definetly need a crime ref, my plates got stolen a few years ago from my golf gt tdi, reported it to police and got a crime reference.
3 hrs later police knocking on door, cloned car had run someone over in Southport. So it was lucky i went and reported straight away.
good idea- quick question- how do you get them off if you need to?
They'll come out easily enough with a pair of pliers...
