Hi everyone

I've been out of the scene for quite a while and after taking the van out of storage for this spring we've decided to sell up now we've bought a new house and it won't get the use :(

Apologies if this post isn't in the right place but I really need a bit of help knowing what it's worth, as figures seem to be all over the place with these vans. If anyone could help give me a ballpark I'd really appreciate it. Hopefully one day we can return with a T5 when we have more time!

2003 (52 plate) SWB 2.5 Tdi in white
170,000k (first 155 was motorway miles in first 3 years, we bought as second owner at 3 years old)
New steering rack, bushes, brake discs and pads
Just had full service and got 12 months MOT

18" RS8 wheels and proper rated tyres with shed loads of tread left
Lowered 60mm at rear and torsioned to match at the front
Fully carpeted with build in bed and new matress, power, storage and TV
Reimo bar on side for awning, Kyham quick erect awning (used 3 times) can be included or not.

Looks very tidy inside and out but could do with a little bit of attention to back arches before they bubble. Side and rear panels only parts not carpetted as they are ready to fit windows, which I was going to do for this year.

Also installed and could be left or taken out are - Alpine HU with iPod interface in glove box

Seem to have lost all my photos for now :( Just wiped my phone too. Bugger.

photos would help, best bet is to keep an eye on ebay and see what price similar vans are selling for, would have though it was worth £3.5-5k depending on conversion and condition of van

Oh right that's a bit disappointing :( I'll try and get some pics up but at that money it's hardly worth selling after the work that's gone into it!

check out the mugs on ebay......... the price of them vans makes yours worth way over 10k

however get to the real world lol i wud say u wud want more than 3k as you can buy a standard r reg panel van for that

and yours is alot newer:ILU:

That's what I was thinking, I've seen R reg stuff going for £3k and ours is an early 2003! Almost exactly half the age! Maybe an auction will be the way to go then, I'm not greedy but at the end of the day it's a very tidy van with £1000 of fairly new wheels, tyres and suspension on it and a cosy conversion in the back with TV, power sockets etc. Might just chuck it on with a reserve as it's got 12 months MOT on it at the moment too and should do someone well for the summer.

I found a couple of (pretty bad) pictures, unfortunately none with the new awning or reimo rail, wind deflectors etc.

Think you'll find that's Jimi Hendrix.

Does the peacock come with it ?

The Peacock spent the whole week there looking and pecking at itself in the chrome bits of the centre caps, woke up to the sound of it every morning! Was quite funny. We took Jimi to Download festival this year so surely that's got to make the van special!

Will get it on ebay next week I think and put an advert on here the same time. I don't want to hang on for some stupid figure with it though, would prefer to just get a reasonable offer and get it gone to do someone well for the spring, seems like a waste sat out the back of my house!

Thanks for all the advice, I'll put an update on when it's up for sale (if that's allowed) :)
