Hello fellow T4 lovers

Firstly I would like to clear up a query its a big weekend not a really huge van, thanks

I am arranging a van get together on the first bank holiday in May down on the Gower South Wales. We were thinking Hill End Campsite, Rossilli Bay? We will be there from Friday 2nd to Monday 5th.

Would be most excellent to meet other T4 owners and talk shop. :cheers

I notice your from stroud. what time are you planning on getting to llangennith/hillend. it is normally full of barry boys (chav'd up corsas) and swansea kiddies by 3pm on every friday of a bank holiday.
I don't think you can book either.

I'm heading a bit further west to Newgale campsite, again no booking but a much nicer crowd and still a good beach and much cheaper per night.

maybe see you there

I've been going to Hillend for the last 18+ years and its a nightmare on Bank Hol weekends, especially when trying to organise a group with vans. As much as i love it there its not the same as it used to be.

My advice is, if you do decide to go there try to get down from Thursday onwards because the campsite will probably be full from Friday onwards (They put out a sign in the lanes a few miles before the campsite).

As Lardy suggested, Newgale is good, only been there once myself but hoping to go there alot more this year. I dont mean to sound too negative about Llangennith because i love it, its just i know how disappointing it can be arranging a group to go there and finding out only half of you can get in.:ILU:

We go to Newgale most Bank Holidays, with two or three mates and their young families. You can't book in advance at the site behind the beach, and they are often full by Friday mornings. The pub has some hardstanding pitches, a few with hook up, but don't know any more than that.
There is a very basic site, with great views halfway up the hill toward St. Davids, but no showers, poor toilets and not many level pitches, but as I say really good views and in my opinion probably a better place to be if there's only one or two vans.

Cheers for the tips guyes I may try and get down Thursday night and see whats g'warn. Newgale does sound like a better option though, will have to tell the girls. Its a maiden voyage for all three vans! (since conversion) :)
