Whilst working on my T6 I managed to fuse the interior light fuse. Turns out this fuse also is the fuse for the rear lights as well. Many a kind driver has notified me of this. Like a idiot I took the fuse out of the fuse holder which is located under the dash at the bottom to the left of the gear stick, and now I can't remember which position it goes back into. Does anyone know? I tried ringing the VW dealer who just said err sorry mate we'd be able to tell you if it was a T5!!!
Need to get it sorted as the dark nights are on there way and I need my lights at the back.
There's a thread on this forum stating multi meter won't show a fault as it's not switched positive or summat like that google vwt6 no interior or rear lights
I've now tested the fuses (by removing them) on my multimeter. All working. Well all the 5a and 7.5a ones. Suppose I'll do the rest. Surly the lights won't be on a 10a?
You'll need something like this to get the fuse back in. It allows you to stick the fuse to the end and push it all the way down to where it is needed. You won't be able to get the fuse in by using your hand as there is no room.
Just in case it helps anyone who Googles this, the ESP or traction control fuse is the 4th down on the right of my picture, the lowest possible slot of the smaller form fuses.
I put it back in the wrong place and found out!
