Cheers
You need to swop the whole dipstick as the ACV/2.5 version has the oil return built in.
The original 2.4 doesn't have this so you can't use it for the oil return. Get the whole dipstick from a scrap yard, I imagine that they cost a fair bit from vw...

Is this the part number for the combined oil return 074115630N, the same one that brookster posted on here?

It may be hard for me to get hold of here as I called up one breakers and asked for parts like the inlet, exhaust manifold and turbo and he point blank refused to take them off the engine. Second hand ACV was too expensive too so I decided to go down this route.

Been looking all over for it but can't find it any where. Where did you get yours from, local scrappy?

Cheers

Gents

Can you answer this question?

Inlet manifold removal - Do most of you tackle this job from below or above? as there seems little access from above.

Think its a case of doing it from above and using "the force" to find the nuts.

Guys,

looking at my turbo I have what look like 2 vac connections, one small pipe on the Turbo and one small pipe on the actuator.

Am I correct in thinking that thease simply Tee into the brake Vac hose?

NOPE

The actuator connects straight to the Turbo Compressor housing
