The following published data consists of combined (that is, average) fuel consumption figures derived from data collected during Type Approval test cycles on empty passenger vehicles, so they have little or no value in the "real world" - they are used merely as reference points to compare with other vehicles.
This data applies to M1 type passenger vehicles (which includes all heavy passenger cars which fall into the N1-111 group - until September 2009 when they revert to class M1 (!)) - that is Caravelles, Multivans, Multivans (with elevating roof)... ... and Transporter Window Vans that are not classed as Light Duty Goods Vehicles for Car Tax Purposes, yet they remain so for London LEZ purposes. The methods of collecting this data have changed slightly down the years, so this is a guide only - in the real world some driver's may achieve better fuel economy but some may not...
