Default LT cupholders?

Anyone found a neat solution to have cupholders in the van? I have a few things in mind but always fishing for ideas...

I struggled to find anything off the shelf...
So i cut up a land rover defender centre console tray which is made from very substantial plastic.
I also cut off the bag hooks and have attached them to the dash as well.

Bother were then screwed to the dash - cup holder below centre heater knobs so it just clears fingers when grabbing first gear.
Hooks next to it on left.

The tray was also used for a automatic gear shifter surround on a defender - so nothing was wasted!

I'll sort some pictures out later, but it's one of these:-

I paid a tenner+ postage for mine, so they can be had cheaper than that ebay link.

Thanks, that's good to know, I wasn't sure if there would be enough room in front of the gearstick, with the heater vents being close by. I was tempted to build something in the door cards, where they meet the dash, so the cupholder would be just in front of the heater vent. Maybe even simply one of those foldy ones you can get...

I need to get this sorted as well. It's a proper pain in the hoop having nowhere to put a drink in the LT.

Was thinking along the same lines of something in the door cards near the heater vent

Good one......

My wife wanted me to keep one of these under the seat for when it was required.
I laughed at her idea then but she was quite right as I only spilled a whole cup of tea all over
the rear carpet at the weekend there.

Cheers,

J

OK, the cardboard option is the most cost effective option....until you go round a corner

Finally taken some pictures of my hacked up Defender cup holder and curry hook in the the van...

Yes they're tekscrews - my favourite fixing
I think i got three in the cup holder - one higher up in the middle you cannot see.
Yes you can grab first without losing your knuckles (just)

And off topic, but another cheap mod - blind spot mirrors tigersealed (or toolstations PU40 adhesive) stuck on the standard mirror - impossible to fit with the supplied metal brackets, hence stuck on
