Quick update for today, windows are in and looking good, I have mostly finished flashbanding the van and I have insulated most of one side.

And here's a picture of the seats I forgot to take yesterday:

Insulation is in on the sides, I went with 2 layers of "loft" insulation, covered with a layer of the foil bubble wrap. For the floor, I hesitated a while and decided on raising the floor, and going with the same method:

Then I laid the plywood floor again. I went with 9mm ply to save weight, but I think I should have used more batons or thicker ply, as the floor is a bit "springy", shall we say. I decided to extend the floor between the seats too so I have a nice transition between the cab and the living area.

Nice work Alex, you could always beef up the floor by laying another layer of 9 mm sheet in opposing directions.

Thanks Martyn, I'm tempted to see how it fares once the build is "complete", I might try a dry fit of all the furniture first so it wouldn't be too much work taking it out again.

Good idea, there isn't actually that much floor space that gets walked on anyway!

I've spent some time getting my central locking kit wired up today, unfortunately it turns out every single wire is too short... Because of that I've not spent too much time getting the door cards off, but it doesn't look like they will want to come off... is there a trick to them?

The rest of the day was spent sprucing up the cab, I have covered the cab floor in a layer of sound deadening stuff and carpeted over, then protected the carpet with a new cab mat:

Tomorrow I'll make a start on the overhead cupboard in the cab. Not sure what to use to make the dashboard look better though...

If you look under the cover of the handle you will see a hole where you put a screwdriver to prise off the cover. This reveals the screws. Remove the lower paper map lockers and lift the door panel to release it. Carefully remove door release cable from rear of handle.

Oh lift the door panel? That explains why it won't unclip then!

Thanks for the pictures, they help a lot!
