Thanks, I'll have to source some material to fit then!

Where is the easiest place ever to get a reverse light feed?

ET nevermind, turns out my camera cable has an extra core to take a positive from a reversing light. Saves finding one near the front!

You need to bend that arm that the rod is attached to in my picture. As standard it will be at right angles, you need to straighten it out.

Electrics for camper vans and work vehicles.

Oh OK, that makes sense now.

On another note, I was tempted to put some insulation inside the doors while I was in there, but there really isn't a lot of spare space, is there?

No, not much at all! Only option I had for speakers was in the doors so opted for MAC super flats, even then I had to build them out by about 2 inches!

I took the +12v positive feed for my reversing cameras from the Driver's side rear lamp cluster - I ran the feed wire up along the roof and along with the camera video cables to the reversing camera system in the front cab.

Thanks, I was being lazy and trying not to run a cable all the way from the back...

because my van has no rear windows I used video cables with power leads built in ie:- red cable , and have wired the system to come on with ignition , I use two cameras and a screen that fixes to the rear view mirror, so one camera looks out the back as a normal rear view when driving , the second camera looks straight down so I can see the towbar and my bike trailer when its on the back, its worked out perfectly, and its strange but your brain accepts the video image as normal , I got the stuff from ebay china about 30 quid

Well, that's most of the stuff ordered, just need to get building now! I decided on Ikea kitchen units in the end as they are the easiest to make look "nice" in the van without spending on furniture board. I've ordered units for the kitchen (straight forward) and some tall cabinets to "hack" and use matching panels for the toilet and bed separation.

Once all that's in I'll work on getting cabinets fitted along the roof, but I'm mot sure how to build these yet, I'll have to decide if carpeted plywood looks good enough next to the other units.

The annoying thing is Ikea can't deliver until 29.12, and the units aren't held in stock anywhere either! The only thing in stock is the door fronts, so not much use on their own...

I'll just have to install all the hardware "loose" first to get all the cabling and plumbing right, then it should fit easily in the units...

I think I only have to buy a toilet and basin and I have everything I need, needless to say I spent a whole lot more than I'd set out to, and not even considered most of the "outside" bits yet!
