vrt & side windows

Hi folks just had a run in with the vrt office i think they must be smoking something they wanted 3600 to clear my camper its 94 t4 dehler fully loaded/ AS for windows i fit my own and know a way arond the vrt if u want info send me a pm .

Did you fit windows?
I fitted 2 bonded windows on my t4 and it has no problem passing the doe test.I have it insured as a commerical and not a camper.

yea i fit my own windows and wood have cleared it as work van if it was empty but its full off camper stuff its a dehler factory conversion..

Every time I ask the vro about pop top conversions I get a different answer depending if I can get an answer or who I talk to. I have a copy of the revenue regulations somewhere but the vr office keep changing the story. I dont want to cut the van to find the roof is not high enough. Useless ****s...

Yep I have emailed all the office around Ireland on the Pop-Top issue. I simply asked could a new 2009 VW California with a pop-top roof be registered as a camper. I received only one response, they said they would have to inspect the van before giving me a response...

yea i here what ur saying but cut away they wont change the height any way so ur safe enough there it has to be 1.8 inside behind the drivers seat i know this because i have cleared about 30 vans so send for chop shop and happy camping..

yea they will take photos and all that ****e but if ur pop top is 1.8 inside behind drivers seat and u have camper stuff in it they will still be vrt off 13% of todays market value and if a camper is over 3ton there no vrt just 70 euro to clear but make sure u ask were they got the vans value because as u know the values are well down in all vans now that the country is ****ed goodluck.
