Port'Land. Me and the Mrs went last year. Clean, large pitches, good facilities, friendly staff and central location to the various areas of interest.
Give me a shout of you want any more info.
Agree, nice site in a good location plus a short walk (steep hill) into Port En Bessen with great sea food restaurants. Try this link; www.camping-portland.com
Depends how far you want to go and what you want in the way of facilities. We used to have a house in Treboul - Douarnenez which is way out west and not over populated with tourists.
There is a huge beach at Kervel Plage and a couple of decent camp sites there (search google for "kervel plage camping") - one with loads of kids stuff as if the beach wasn't enough
In Treboul itself by Sables Blanc there is a nice site that gets well recommended. There is a nice beach at the bottom of the hill, local bar and restaurant or a short walk into Douarnenez that is full of bars and restaurants T:
And if anyone is looking for camping near Dieppe especially coming from or going to the ferry there is a great site "Camping des 2 Rivières" nearby in Martigny. It would be useful for anyone with a dog that has been to vets for its worming and has to wait until the next day before coming home.
Many thanks, was looking at more northern area to visit the D-Day beaches, etc. The Portland site looked ideal, but is fully booked. Also any skate parks in the area would be an added bonus.
Cheers, Pad.
Are there still refugee camps in this part of France?
