Default camping with fishing

I'm after campsites with fishing.

Not much into specimin carp. Mixed venue is fine with double figure carp.

Yorkshire and Lincolnshire area but anywhere not too far from Sheffield.

Must have decent head of fish and children friendly.

thx Ian

I don't know if it's of interest or if it's too far but there is a nice little camp site with trout fishing in Llandegla which is north wales near Wrexham. Across the road is a mountain biking trail centre. Worth a google search to find the site/fishing.

Try http://www.blackburnfarmhawes.com. Very small site. Friendly owners. No idea about the fish but other reviews seem to think it's ok! Easy walk into Hawes too

Hi, this might be of interest if willing to travel a bit further www.pillatonpools.co.uk . There's a small village nearby market on Wednesday and Saturdays pubs, restaurants and leisure centre.

Its Stocked with trout. Tackle available to hire. Nice and local to Hawes. You will need to be no bigger than 3ft stall to use the shower

www.beechwoodparkleisure.co.uk/fishing.html

Quite a large site with a few different ponds all fully stocked with good size carp. People are constantly catching all day. Its right next to Elvaston Castle country Park and its not far from the M1

Thanks for the suggestions. Pillaton pools looks good. Been to Smeatons lakes. Its a great site. Fishing is a bit slow in the ponds. The river fishing under the bridge for barbel looks fantastic. Not into trout/fly fishing.

I also like the look of Beechwood Park. Thx for the web link.

This place i found near Caistor. Close to the coast also. http://www.woldviewfisheries.com/

I have a lad of 6 and lass of 2, so fishery must be family friendly.

Thanks for all the comments.

Watching this with interest too.

The ponds at Llandegla aren't just trout fishing IIRC. Theres a free (I think) trout pond to get the kids into catching something dead easy and then I think theres two proper course and trout ponds too.
