If you don't have an ACSI-card, then it could be a good idea to get one. With an ACSI-card one gets discounts in low season, which normally is September to June. There're quite a few campsites in the ACSI-books that gives ACSI low- season price in Andalucia. The books is delivered with the membership card.

I fink I read somewhere that wild camping is legal in Spain as long as you don't increase the vehicle's footprint by use of awnings etc.

Satisfy yourself and have a great time.

I don't know where you got this from, but it's pointless to try to hold on to any legal right to sleep in the car when the police tell one to move on. In Spain, I've been woken up by police siren and been told to move on, as well as I've been escorted by the police to park en sleep in the street outside an hotel.

Lately there're more parking places by the coast where mobile homes are not allowed, but there're quite a few mobile home stop-overs in Spain and some of them are free:

i see lots of motor homes around the almeria area of spain parked on beaches. i think its a case of the police not being so bothered in the off season as motor homes are some of the few tourists spending money. be warned tho the police in spain are s and will come and move people on in the middle of the night. more so if they;ve had a bad month for fining people. the guardia can loose their jobs if they dont issue enough fines!!!!
