T5 Post Icon smev 9222 fitting?

Right I have just cut out a template to fit my smev 9222, but what do you do in the tabs where the screws hold the smev down? Do you have to rebate them as it looks like it sits too high?

And then counter sink a hole for the little screw holders to fit in? It seems an absolutely crazy way to fit a sink!?

Rebating the corner and tabs is a pain so I normally cut them out and screw a piece of ply spanning the corners underneath and then screw in to them.

T5 Post Icon Re: smev 9222 fitting?

I ran the router over the corner tabs and held on very tight just in case it headed off on its own ( as has happened in the past ). That seemed to do the trick. The hardest part was getting the rubber seal to stay in place before screwing the unit down. It kept falling off and the job took me ages as i didn't want to glue it on in case the glue or silicon would show.

Cheers,

jimmy w ( conversion nearing completion after six months )
