I know these have been praised so many times before but having used them today for the 1st time I can't recommend them enough for anyone just about to embark on a conversion.
I realise there are two sides to everything so for those who don't use /like them I would be interested to know why

Are they easy to use even if its ply ive cut myself? Is lining up the holes a pain?

If you've cut new ply you would need to use the fibre panels as templates to cut new holes. If you've done a big Panel to cover the whole side I don't think you can use the clips.

Just bought a pack of 'hidden' clips.
Top is a strange cam/spiral shape.

Anyone advise what size/shape hole I should cut in the ply?

VW panels are 12-13mm but 10mm is best if you are making new ply panels.

These are the clips I bought.

Do they fit in a 10mm hole or a slot?
Too cold to try again tonight.

Aren't those the ones for the roof lining jointing strips and not the panels. The ones I bought from MVM had a head diameter the same as the 'washer' diameter half way down the clip with a 90 degree sharp cut out. You definately need these If you are covering original panels or have already drilled holes the same size as original in new panels.

They may be ok if you drill a smaller hole. I would start with 8mm and see how you get on

Yes the clips are really good.
Even easier to insert if you use an 8mm socket.

Also discovered 'Tiger Seal' PU seal/adhesive.
Stuck battens on with it.

Then filled in between with Classic Acoustics foam.

Made little plates to accept megavan clips.

Do you use one mvm clip per original plastic vw screw when you do your ply panels? Or can you get away with less mvm clips?

I counted...there we 121 total in a kombi including the roof, this is a lot.
