After well over a year of searching I woke up one Sunday morning and did the usual Ebay checks for that perfect van. An email, a phone call, and a 250mile road trip later I returned home with this 52 plate ex AA on 131,000 miles. It was owned by a chap called Will who had looked after it well, using it as his wedding vehicle and also for his honeymoon around Europe. Not much had been done to the inside so it remained pretty much standard AA spec other than a LOUD sound system and wedding confetti in every crevice possible!
Having just got it home:
So that’s what I had bought. In need of a good clean inside and out, but an otherwise good little van which seemed to run perfectly!
So the plan: to fully convert it into a camper van with no expense spared. I wanted a professional looking conversion which would look ‘coach built’ but I would be doing all the work myself, on the street outside the house. I’ve never done anything like this before, but I’m pretty handy at most DIY related tasks so didn’t think it would be much of a problem. :ILU:
Timescale? 6 months... as agreed with JustKampers Insurance.
