T4 Post Icon Doka what on earth is a Doka

Hi everyone
I thought I had a double crew cab lwb syncro. I have never heard of a Doka I think I must be thick. What does doka mean is it short for something. Please let me know. I have the rear diff out at the moment. Diff lock gaiter split and diff filled with water. Luckly I was using vw diff oil which is hydroscopic so turned to a jelly which helped protect the diff. Perhaps this bit should be in the syncro forum. Anyway have decided to look at replacing the vc with something better to give proper selectable 4 wheel drive.

DubbelKabin in German, - double cab in UK English, Crewcabin US English, Dubblekabin in Swedish . . .

Its a pickup with 5 of six seats and 3 or 4 doors.

Thankyou for your help. I am building a 5th wheel which my "DOKA" will be pulling. This is the 2nd 5th wheel I have built. Will put up pictures of the construction once I figure out how to do it. As for the Doka I will be removing the rear chassis over hang right back to the rear wheels so shortening the overall length of the vehicle. The drop side platform will be removed and a new foldout platform in marine ply will be fitted ontop of a glass fibre rear body. I have aready shortened the exhaust which now comes out drivers side in front of the rear wheel. Have also fitted air suspension to the rear and removed the anti roll bar to give more articulation off road. The air suspension is controlled from the cab and allows the rear end to sit right down to help pick up the fifth wheel or increase height for off road. Have nearly completed a system to adjust the height of the front suspension from the cab. Will also have to clean up and respray cause looking tatty at the moment. Its boots are mud and snow 215/65 r16 on alloys. Oh and its called Terri the truck.

Yeh, thanks, noticed the mistake as soon as I corrected the first one but though it a bit much to have 2 corrections after each other!
