T5 front seats

Hi, currently converting a SWB T5 and have the usual 1 + 2 front seat problem.

I'd like to end up with 2 swivelling front seats, not fussed about arm rests; so that being the case, can you remove double passenger seat, and fit another driver's seat, swapping over the seat belt receiver? (and does the single seat base fit the existing holes without drilling?)

Also is the 'noughts and crosses' pattern on the cloth called Inca or is it Inca+?

Just found out, the noughts and crosses pattern is 'box'

once you've removed the bench seat the single will bolt bolt straight onto 4 of the bench seat fixings leaving 4 of the fixings redundant
if you used a drivers seat you might have to fix the seat belt clip onto the base it would save you 200 quid rather than buying a passenger seat does anyone know better ?

My local vw dealers quoted me £500 to trade my twin seat for a single (fully fitted)

£500 is not a bad price if it's genuine VW new parts, although I don't know what they'll do with your old twin seat unless they sell them privately.

As for using another drivers seat, the plastic around the seat belt receiver is moulded to fit, so you may have an issue there...

My VW dealership quoted me £1400 for a front passenger seat, base and armrests were extra!
