Hi,

i use this 3d to explain what i do or what i want to do on my T4 VAN.

soon i put some pictures about the actually situation of the van

WORK DOES:

- installation of an interior light with reading light (1 left, 1 right), main light, led ambient light and all switches with red light (this interior light came from an audi A4 B5 with light pack)

- installation of a "comfort blinker for cornering light, this is a great upgrade. It's like the sistem how many modern cars have with OEM packet... normally when you use a corner light (side blinkers) move the lever to the right or to the left and the lights stop only when the steering wheel come back to the central position..this is good but many times, specially when drive in highway or when you have to move just for road selection, you have to move the steering wheel shortly and the light can be switched of by hand.
This system allow to turn on side blinkers just with a little touch of the lever and the light blink just for 3 times and than switch off automatically (On my actually audi a4 B6 2005 this system came from OEM standard equipments).
I've bought this electronic device, normally called "komfortblinker" (B3 Mos-Fet), from cxi-europe.com and came complete with wirings and installation handbooks (german and english).
On handbook have some cars list for installation and i find VW T4 too but on mine wasn't good that wiring indication...maybe it's good for after 1996 T4 (restyling).
If someone are interested or want to fit this device i can give him the right wiring scheme for T4 pre-restyling!
this is the device:
http://www.cxi-europe.com/bilder/b3frauquer49.jpg

- installation of a 2 separate ways audio system (brand: hertz (italy)) on door panels and an JVC Mp3 radio.

WORK IN PROGRESS:

- colour changing on air heater control panel...OEM was green (loosy green ;) ) and now i'm going to finish a back lighting with red and blue H.B.Leds:
on knobs i've fitted 3 blue led and the rest of the control panel are in red...whe i finish i show you results, the only noise i had it's about the central knob internal light "rail" because this was in clear green, this to balancing green between left and right knob to the central closest to the lamps...now with the blue led are better but anyway it's different from the sides knobs...i'm looking for an used heating control panel to un-mount one trasparent light rail to change with my green central one.

bye
Francesco

- heating panel chromed knobs
- In-Pro Temp Check III
- interior door panel chromed opening handles
- aftermarket rear parking sensor
- Alu 15" wheels (old Mercedes models..i've to do some works on)...here in italy it's likely impossible to retrofitting bigger wheels without problems with police or something :(

Nice, keen on increasing the lights on the heater controls. Mine's a 98 panel van with aircon ... and there seems to be only 1 bulb!

Is it easy to add more bulbs?

easy... NO,
after my conversion i suggest to use another way, don't remove the central lamp for green lighting but just cut away the green shield and fit a red silicone cap (is simple to find it on bay.co.uk or bay.de). In this way the only new leds to fit are 3pcs for knob.
My next heater control i will make in this way.
