Hello! My van's now done 130k, I do my own servicing - does anyone know how to turn the service message off and what I need to do for this service??? The van has a full VW service record to-date.

Thanks!

Billy

Found this by doing a simple search on the forum !!! and as far as I remember when I did it, I could have done with 3 hands for this .....

1. Press & Hold 'Trip Reset' button.
2. Switch on ignition
3. Turn 'Clock Advance' clockwise.
4. Release 'Trip Reset' button.
5. Switch off ignition.

This also resets the trip miles counter so if you are calculating a journey with that make a note of the figures before you start.

The above method will reset the service indicator to 'miles to next service' only, nominally 10,000 miles for a diesel.
If your T4 is set-up for 'Variable Service Indication' and you wish to retain that feature then the service indicator must be reset with Vagcom or similar
