I despair!!

last tuesday had new disks
wednesday brakes seized- rescued by AA
garage say calipers are knackerd.
order calipers on thursday.
calipers arrive monday- but wrong bits sent
today -they cant find calipers
found one in vw dealer-
relying on garage to sort as im upto my eyes in work

i should be going to France on Friday night in van- i really cant see it happening

Hang in there i had cambelts re-done day b4 my hols

ill will be ok keep the faith even if u have to fit used ones

ask garage to check /change the flexi hoses just incase one is collapsing not letting the fluid back (happened to me on a beetle) had us stumped for ages

They have the calipers and went to fit yesterday, they now say they need a mount?
so still not ready. 24hours to go !

wont even have a decent test drive in it!

bit worried now:eek:

all assembled but they arnt happy with them so have rung for a specialist to come tomorrow morning?
18hrs max left and still no van:eek:

i wish they had left them alone, they suggested i change the disks- i thought that was simple- in fact ive done it myself on fords!!:eek:

dont know how they cant be sitting right unless they have the wrong calipers:confused: all the calipers ive had dealings with(not t4's yet thoI:) are kinda obvious how they go on and only go on one way. lets hope they get it sorted for you first thing int morn then you can get on with your hols:ILU:

In a day, I changed two inner cv joints & cv boots, two track rod ends, one top ball joint, freed off both rear calipers, fitted new rear brake pads, fixed load compensator, fitted new alternator bracket & fitted new lower side door runner - and I'm a painter :D :D

almost had the same problem as you there are three sets of discs what size were your old discs and what size are the new ones I suggest 280mm old ones 300mm new ones

now there is water pouring through my kitchen roof and the vans still not ready!!:eek:

thats just news m8 ,go and visit the garage and see who is working on the van and insist they sort it pronto ,they sound like there not doing much on it just say you will wait till its ready and you need it today

go to the dealers and get some discs take them with you and tell them you aint happy

bet theyve got wrong parts fools ,you'da probably been better off at kwik fit dare i say it m8

garage very apologetic and didnt charge any labour

Off to plymouth to get the ferry now.
