SWB T4 - Does it fit in a normal house garage?

Im trying to decide what vehicle to get, and a SWB T4 is a good candidate at the moment.
I'm just wondering if the size of a T4 is small enough to fit in a single house garage.

Do any of you guys store their van in a garage?

Thanks Stoo,
Now I just need to see if that is the same for others.

i got mine easily in my dads garage the other day, depends on how big your garage is i suppose, a standard SWB t4 (not lowered etc) is around 2m ish tall and 5m ish long measure up your garage and have a look. if its close you could always lower it! T:

I believe the trick is to reverse it in if you have an "up & over" door, so the garage door benefits from the sloped front and can then close instead of hitting the van roof.

But yes, there are several people on here that fit theirs into a garage.

I fit mine into a brick carport (same height/width as a garage) but as I've got a LWB the length wouldn't go in a garage.

depends on the size of the garage, around here developers have tried to cram as many houses onto plots as possible and the garages would be better as storage or utility rooms
as you struggle to get a small family car in them - i have heard of a couple who can fit the family astra in the garage in reverse-but cannot open the doors and would need to climb out the sunroof,
most new build houses forget cupboard space to make rooms seem bigger and the garage ends up where all the junk goes

Thanks for your responses.
I didnt think about different size garages, I just thought there would be a standard size for the doors.

I will measure up tonight, and hope its not too small.

Where can I get the dimentions of a SWB T4?

From the net, sizes of SWB T4:
L 4707mm, W 1840mm, H 1940mm

I measured up the garage space:

L 5000mm, W 2100mm, H 1810mm

So, it looks like the available height is 130cm short ! :(

Can I take off 130cm if I lower the suspension ??

I doubt it! :(

If you are measuring to where the up and over door goes maybe you could change the door to barn doors.

i think you mean 130mm which is 13cm im afraid this would be stupidly low, the lowest ive heard of is around a 100mm drop :(

Oh yes, 13cm!

Ah well, maybe I can look into changing the garage door, as it seems to slope down a little when opened, and that is where I got the smallest dimension from.

Thanks guys for all your help.

Darren.
