Sale includes the frame, 2 lap belts, and the 4 'cushion/boards', the cushions are litterally just covered in upholstery vinly that has been stapled to the underside of the boards.

Either collection from Swindon or I may be able to deliver for a small fee next Saturday on my way up to Worksop from Swindon if you aren't to far out of the way.

Looking for 150ovno, I've seen an identical frame for sale on ebay for 180 for just the frame, so I think 150 for all that is included is a fairly reasonable asking price.

Any questions just ask...

Thanks

Tim

It looks like exactly what im after, but am a little concerned that the seat belt clip 'receivers' are fixed to a bit of the frame that moves forward when the bed is down..does the base lock in the seated position for when driving? any idea who made the frame? its a good price and not too far to drive

Eifion - if you look at the 2nd photo there is a 'tab' that comes down from the part of the frame that is the seat if that makes sense, this holds the frame in the seated position.

I may be doing myself out of selling this but in all honesty the reason I am selling the bed is because I'm not happy with the safety aspect of the lap belts, both because they are only lap belts and I'm not happy with how they are fitted, seeings as it will be my 2 young children sat on it the majority of the time I want something I'm a little more confident in.

That said, it is a perfectly good rock and roll bed, if you dont need seatbelts then it will do you fine alternitively I'm sure it could be modified so the seatbelts are safer, but I dont think it will ever be suitable for 3 point seatbelts which is what I want and why I am selling

Edit. I'd just like to add on the seat belts etc this is why its a 150 rock and roll bed, ready to go, the replacement is costing me 500 and thats before I have the foam upholstered...

Hi, bit cheeky I'm afraid as I'm not looking to buy your bed, what I am looking for is info on rear seat safety and in particular, 3 point belts in campervans. I am looking to buy a basic weekend camper, probably based on the T4, which can safely carry my 2 young kids in the back. ALL campers with 3 point belts seem few and far between and even when they do crop up I'm frankly doubtful about their safety since; unless the 3 points which are secured to the van or, if the belt is integral to the bed/seat, then the bed/seat itself, have been properly crash tested to defined standards then there's no guarantee they would be any safer than a lap belt (or no belt for that matter). Although there are a number of campers on the market described as "4 birth" it appears no one really gives a monkies to the the safe carriage of the other 2 people!!! Since your bed is for sale as you are looking to replace it with one that has 3 point belts I wondered what you have been able to find out on the subject, any info greatly received!

Cheers, Bob.

only bed that is actualy safe is multivan beds and the rib beds

all these steel beds , all the ones you see on ebay and forum no matter if it says they have seat belts or not or if there 150 or 600 the fact of the matter is there all the same not one is safer than the other .

can someone tell me why a 150quid bed is less safe than a 600 none because neither have been tested

you do the sums yourself T:

The cannons forge bed has a more substantial frame than the cheaper options, the main cross beam the belts are secured to are VERY solid, but as Paul SS says, none have been crash tested. I went for the Canons Forge becuase of this.

i persnaly think a lot of cannon fordge is other faollwing like sheep LOL: i have nothing against them but why would someone want to pay double the price .

they all fall into the same catogry none have been tested so no one knows if there safe or not , am sure other companys will stick a load more steel in but fact is still dont meen its better.

theres nothing to stop me going and buying a cannon fordge bed and coppying it and saying its safe , or you could go get same bed from elite campers for less money even though dave says thy have cut cornors who knows .
