In-Dash DVD Player & 7" screen cost me 125 oh yes!

Hi everyone, I (with a lot of help from my auto-electrician mate) have just fitted a 7" in dash TV/DVD/CD/MP3/ETC/ETC player in my van, and some funky neon footwell lights, just thought I'd show everyone because I'm so proud. And best of all it cost a grand total of 125. For everything. Oh yes, gotta love the bargains. Took some pics in the dark to show the neons off, they were taken on my phone so excuse the quality.....

The head unit and screen were off ebay! (115 incl postage i think). If you want one, let me know and I'll send you a link to the dude my Dad bought it from. And the pair of blue neons with all wires and a switch are from my work, at a grand total of 9 (that's what they cost me, if you want some just let me know).

The red buttons are for my 6-tone siren that i NEVER H: use on the road! (about 5 off ebay)

Oh and in case you're trying to make it out, it's Max and Paddy on the player H:
Hope this gives someone an idea of how to put a screen in!

like that :)

How much of a mission was it to put the head unit there? What supports it?

There are 5 sirens like emergency service ones and one that sounds like a reversing warning beep thing, I think it's a must for any T4, it could be the new 'hello', we could nee nor hahaha H:

Hi mate, I, erm, cut it out LOL: . It was easy really, just took the covers off and hacked away at it. I knew the fit would be tight, they dont actually fit properly but you can't tell, have a look at the pics on the right hand side of the head unit surround, I had to cut the side off (which is extremely easy). The plug is now isolated and shoved back into the dash H:
Job's a good 'un. :D

Hi mate, it wasn't difficult, I explained how to do it on the reply to Rob's message (below). I got the stability from screwing the cage to the bottom and the right hand side of the hole i cut (the plastic is 1/2 inch deep). I couldv'e just wrapped carpet tape round the unit itself to keep it secure but after about 20 minutes we managed to put the actual cage in there.
If you're getting one yourself and you get stuck just phone me on 07852 498 587 and I'll try to help :D Good luck!
