Is it not a 2.5litre? what age?

My mate has a 1996 2.5 litre and i would say if i could have it it would be my choice over the 2.5TDi. Its soooooo quiet! and its a beast!

My Mates runs amazingly!!! cruze at 90 without realising!!! so quick. instant start. quiet as amouse and exsaust purs nicely.

As i said, with petrol prices being low and the ability to convert to lpg in future, i would happily have a petrol.

I picked up a 2l petrol just recently, my first petrol T4 in fact. I was a bit apprehensive but got to say well impressed and so quiet!! Cruises fine at 80.
It's a 2000, 50k miles, full service history, 1 owner from new - can't argue with that! Paprika super super shiney red ...... yours for 3700 with brand new 18" Inovit DTM's and new rubber, 3100 without.

I ran a 2.0ltr on LPG for 2 years, though fully loaded (mobile mechanic) it pulled like a train and returned a reasonable fuel consumption. It really could have done with power steering, but only for manoeuvring.

The newer one's must have had power steering added as my one has it.

Hi buddy. I am going to polish her up tomorrow and take a few more pics. I will post them up here tomorrow eve. She's a lovely one for sure and hardly run in!! It will go on the classifieds in the next few days I would've thought, depending on what I decide to do in the back!

I've been keeping my eye on autotrader, here and ebay for a few weeks now. Only thing i'd be worried about is fuel consumption on a petrol. Never thought of having a petrol before..(and that's pretty low miles) many people on here have petrol versions?

Type petrol or similar into the search box and have a little read up! The subject has popped up a few times recently. It's certainly feels nice paying just over 80p a litre which helps against fuel consumption.

Ive had a 2.0 petrol and a 2.5 petrol both ran realy well with ignition faults been my only major or minor even faults. The 2.5 cost me an arm and a leg to run but was an animal and sounded ace with the TT back box i put on it. Ive had 2 2.0 petrols both ran well and were better on econamy and they did shift. Im not sure when Vw made them with PAS but neither of mine had them but 1 was a H and the other a J. Only major fault i know of with the 2.0 petrols is this they have realy week flywheels or should i say they are prone to the pinion on the starter motor wearing its bush then the bell housing and making its seat bigger causing the starter motor to shoot out and take teeth of the flywheel. Having said this upon starting the van you will be able to here if somethings a miss and this isnt something that just develops over night. Heres a few pictures of them the 2.5 being the lighter blue and the 2.0 being the dark blue i loved them both.
