The rollers are bolted to the arm which bolts to the sliding door bracket. The rollers on ebay are a complete unit and will require the use of your old arm. So you will need to punch the roller bracket from the arm.

For forum members i will also supply a FREE arm, which the roller unit is allready attached to(which then bolts to the sliding door) This saves much time punching the old rollers out and re fitting the new rollers. The arms are made from the same stuff vw use and are zinc plated. These will retail on ebay for 10

Think i need to put some pics up... as its not that easy to followI:

Basically buy the roller guide on ebay you get the roller guide (and you may have to fight to punch the roller unit out) Forum discount= you get the whole unit ROLLER UNIT AND ARM

Middle rollers are very rarely knackered, The poor operation of your sliding door 99.9% of the time is down to the bottom rollers

it turned up today fantastic, thanks

but the arm is different to mine, do I drill and tap to match the other bolthole or drill the bracket on the door to line up with the arm ?

just use existing arm you will need to punch the pin threw then swap over or just drill to match i would attach it first to the hole that exists so as you line up the second bolt spot on

I just received the roller mech from TidyT's this morning (ordered it evening before yesterday! A:)
Didn't know about the free arm which would have saved a bit of hassle but with advice from Morriss (He's a good supervisor and always manages to keep his hands clean I:) I fitted it and am well chuffed.

As you can see from the pic below my side loader was a bit stiff :D

The new roller on the right is actually round!

I put a jack under the door and removed the three screwsholding the arm bracket on.

I kept the existing arm but drilled out the pin holding the roller mech to the arm.

\\\\\\\after removing the 2 screws of the door stop open mechanism bit thing!

Mushroom sincer apologies, we sent you the wrong arm! We checked many doors from all year of van and found there was only one bracket (arm) Which we have now found out there are 2 types of arms. You have the long arm (i suppied) which is for vans 96 on. when you need a pre 96 arm (shorter)

100% my fault we checked and double checked vw parts lists and only found 1 arm, and the 92 and 93, 96 velles and 01, and 03 vans we have here all have the long armsI:

I now understand there are 2 types of arms!

Sorry my mistake, I know the arm was free but would like to buy you a beer for the trouble!

drilled the door bracket tonight and swapped it over no problem, the door glides in now :D
