Has anyone used a courier to transport a sliding door?

I'm after a door, but finding it difficult to find one locally. Has anyone got any experience of using one to send a door?

How much was it?
Which one did you use?

Or has anyone got a clue how much a sliding door weighs??

T4 Pimp, Don't know about courier prices but I travel between Sheffield and Poole every fortnight. If ya can find one close to my route I can probably collect and meet you somewhere.

Anyway, its an option!!

Try these guys, have used the first one a few times, great service, and cheaper than fuel;

When tidytransporters gets his next tailgate in thats what I plan to use!

I used Silver sprint

to get a middle row of caravelle seats from lincoln to hampshire and they charged me 70. They are just down the road from you so may be cheaper if you pick it up from their depot....

:( My local garage wanted a slider from oop north, most of the couriers he tried refused due to the SIZE, not the weight. Not much use but something to think about.T:

Dont know if you're sorted yet but this place is reasonably local to you (West Sussex) and he had several sliders when I last popped in there.....
