High top or pop top?

After having a great weekend at Lobb fields, I couldn't help thinking that my life would be that little bit easier if i had either a pop top or a high top. With a mrs and 2 kids in tow (9 & 1. all girls  ) It does get a bit cramped in the multivan, and... there is no room to make a cup of tea.
So, bearing in mind i don't use the van every day, can you give me your experiences/views/opinions of either of these.

Pics of sleeping/furniture arrangements would also be good.

Many thanks.

Luke

It's gotta be a pop-top Luke, your van is a beaut and would be a shame to spoil the lines. Besides which, I think a pop-top will add the same value as you spend on it but not sure about a high top.

Thanks for that John but will be selling the multi to buy a LWB

We've gone Reimo poptop.
Love it. Low so now height restriction/mpg issues. Much more height than HT I think.
I slept up in it at Big Bang with my brother down below & that worked a treat. Family will be 5yr old & me up top, 1yr old & Anthea below.
Not cheap (3k ish) but worth it allready.
In terms of Hight top advantages, it seams storage is the main thing.
Hope this helps.
Some photos in my build see sig below.

i am six foot tall and if i had a poptop i would have to keep raising the roof to move around the van..
the hightop has drawbacks tho, it is prevented from entering a lot of car parks ..
and some think its ugly.

but it has benefits , no need to continually stoop and its warmer ....storage is great for a small van as part of the roof space can be used..

i made the right decision for me but in the end its a personal decision..T:

pop ups are expensive and tent like. for a decent fibre glass top then aztec campers in swansea do the best looking ones ,especially for a long wheel base.Just depends on your money and preferences.check them out.;)

Got red vinyl seat covers now, we love it, we would always have a high top. Hope the pictures help. Used to have a lwb renault trafic high top camper too, again great with all the extra room. We always have loads of stuff with us though when we go away plus 2 dogs. No faffing putting up the pop top, plus the cupboards in the high top bit and the huge bit above the cab for storage. Have had a pop top in the past but always had to put it down at night because it was too cold and in the morning too lightT:
