T4 Post Icon Is this a leisure battery?

I have a Super Start TYPE W096SS battery. I've been told it's a leisure battery but I can find no information about this battery to confirm if it is a leisure battery or just a normal car battery. Does anyone on here know? Thanks

it all depends on your meaning of Leisure battery, a true leisure battery is known as a deep cycle battery.

A so called "leisure battery" you see in shops and garages is really little different from a normal starter battery.

Try Google, it is your friend

Google brings up nothing for that part number, however "super start" would suggest not

Fundamentally though there is not really much difference between cheap "leasure" batteries and start batteries anyway

This explains the argument very well

Obviously I've tried Google, but part number shows nothing. Super Start is the name of the company that sells the batteries.
Thanks for the link edbluejuice, a good read!

edbluejuice - excellent link! I need a secondary battery for VW Action as no 240V apparently. This certainly opened my eyes, thanks
