Got my intercooler in and got me 150 bhp nozzles. Just ordered the injector bodies and then in for the job so nearly there

Will be good to see how you get on keep us posted mate Sorry forgot to say it will cost me about 700, i have done the hard work myself and that's not doing the brakes or clucth yet

I was going to try it and see how i get on first and go from there, good luck buddy
Blood hell breath mate!!! (It was bloody difficult to read without hyperventilating! So I punctuated it for thee).

Sounds good, you bringing it along to the Tarka Inn at some stage?

Ok back to the mission to get 200bhp!!!!!

Progress so far......

K14volvo turbo idea scrapped......

VNT 20 Turbo (bought)

150bnp AYH Manifold (bought)

Volvo 2.5 TDI Injectors (Bought) simiar spec as 150bhp T4 Injectors fraction of the price!

To get

AHY N75 vacum valve and line

FMIC...........(may be chargecooler)

ECU Re Flash from AHY 150BHP

Custom downpipe

boost gauges EGT Gauge etc

so apart from custom oil lines, charge hoses etc...all parts almost sorted

will be a case of fitting then remap and see if 200bhp acheived and how longclutch gearbox lasts...............

was wondering as the Volvo V70 Tdi engine is the same unit as the ACV engine if the gearbox from the volvo would fit????

Just spoken to Wayne at Chip wizards..very helpful guy! Basically it is as i suspected to Map VNT direct will take a lot of time and effort and ultimatly cost ! so getting the AHY files or ECU will be the best way forward then map on top of that!....now my ecu is a 1998 so it sounds as though it will be difficult to map anyway just need to find a compatable ECU or Wayne did suggest the possiablity of him downloading that data to my own ECU.....

So more food for thought.....

so far then!

VNT 20 From Audi TDI V6

Manifold from AHY 150bhp

N75 Valve from AHY (1h0906627)

Bosch MAF From AHY

AND ECU or Files From AHY.... Then custom Map to get most from total set up!

All of the above required to Run a VNT Turbo........

I was going to go down the VNT route a couple of years ago.

But a change of job and didn't have the time..The van has now been at The Derv doctor in Dearby for the last 18 months.... Don't ask. Thats the first and last time I take any vehicle to a garage.

Hi mate,

Just got most of the mechanical work done before I changed jobs.

Thought I would give it to the pro's to finish. The power of hind-sight is a wonderful thing.

Hit the same problems with VNT control so a hybrid has been made from the standard item. Not what I wanted but easier for them to do, so there you go.

With a good map, .520 race nozzles, FMIC and a full 3" straight through system 200bhp should be achievable. Bloody hope so for 3000.

I may have a spare engine that I can have a play with if it fails to sell.

Wish I had done the work myself and took it up to Wayne.

Sam.

Sorry for the delay on your parts. Thanks for the tip on the courier.
