T4 Post Icon 225 x 17 wheels

Hi
I have some 225 x 17 wheels and was looking at putting 225/55 or 225/50 tyres on them for my 800 special. Apart from a weight rating of 92 or higher anything else I need to take into account?
Cheers

Have a look here bud..... hhttp://www.wheelfitment.net/audi
Its a pretty good guide to what you can fit. Et = poke the lower the number the further they will stick out.
PCD pitch diameter the amount of bolts by the distance apart, Standard T4 = 5x112

As to your original question yes they should be ok. Although the load rating is low, especially if you have a full conversion.

Speak to Cloese he will point you in the right direction.

Thanks again Gaz, I have kept things light in the van as with a full set of ikea units the weight was really noticeable, (it's only a 1.9td) so made very lightweight ply units, so I expect that there should be a reasonable safety margin.

Cheers
