T4 Post Icon Electrolux FRIDGE RM4217

I have an Electrolux RM4217 3 way fridge. It wasn't working when I got the T4 (1994 Bilbos conversion) a month ago so I purchased a new 12volt switch and connected it but the fridgestill didnt work! I then tested the wiring and noted I had current to the Gas ignition switch but not to the 12 volt input switch. When I connect a link from the input to the Gas ignition switch to the terminals of the 12 volt switch the fridge works ( except for inbuilt the light on the switch) but when the fridge is on the interior lights wont work (I believe these are from the leisure battery). When the fridge is off the lights work !!!

I believe the fridge is running of the leisure battery as the meter on the electric panel for the Aux batterydips when I turn the fridge on.

Anyone got an (sensible !) suggestions?
