Default VW T5 Cutting out when accelerating

Hi all- I have a VW T5 2.0 Bitdi -
Timing belt broke- after rebuilding the engine the van drove beautifully until 2 days ago when it started to stall when accelerating hard. No warning lights on the dash - when driving the vehicle softly it drives perfectly but when you accelerate it stutters and cuts out. I changed the fuel filter- and still have the same problem- can any one tell me what could create this issue-

I've got exactly same thing in my T4. Sometimes it dies completely. Changed all the filters, HT leads, plugs, distributor cap and arm. Still does it. Put a fuel additive in to clean it out, but still no luck. Might go for a can of carburretor cleaner next. Did you get it fixed?
