Default 2.5 petrol T4 Fuel Economy

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a 2.5 5cylinder petrol T4 but I'm worried about the fuel economy. From what I've heard they can be quite thirsty. Can anyone tell me what I would expect from this van? Thanks

I have a T5 petrol rather than a T4, so can't speak from personal experience, but know the T4 2.5 engine is a good one (used in some audis).

Fuel economy was never one of its strengths, so expect 20-26mpg. 20 when driving local short journeys and 26 on long trips if you drive it like miss Daisy.
