If your van's lowered then make sure the brake bias valve has been corrected before driving in the snow otherwise you'll spin 360 almost everytime you touch the brakes. I thought mine was ok until last weekend when i went backwards up the road. Mines only lowered 40mm too.

Thanks guys,

Right so, it looks like I may have a set of 4 steels coming my way to fit some winter tyres to.
What tyres size would be best for these?

Thanks to everyone for the advice I will get on ebay and order 4 snow tyres as soon as I have the wheels.

Thanks

H4H van raffle tickets available from me. PM for details .T:

If you're putting standard steels back on (15"), Nexen do a Eurowin winter tyre (195/70r15 8ply), and it won't break the bank. Most good tyre shops can supply these.

I'll be looking at a set of these if the weather really starts to turn (does help that i can supply and fit my own....)

the trick with snow tyres mate is dont go to wide, 195 or 205 is well wide enough.. as it makes it harder to get through the snow... i honestly hope both me and you are wasting our money and it doesnt snow all winter.. because i hate snow..

I got 205/65/15 99H Maxxis snow tyres 2 years ago and really rated them. Just fitted a new set. They aren't the cheapest at 60 each but better than some at the 100 mark.
