T4 Post Icon Injector problem ?

ACV engine, I know it's done 333,000 miles but it started pinking on load on Saturday.
Took it out on a short journey Sunday morning and it got really loud on tickover
Ran VAGCOM measuring blocks this morning and here's the vid
You can actually hear the noise from inside the cab and the minus figures rise on cylinders 2 and 4
Any advice ?

By the sound of it ues. At 333k miles even more likely as the service limit for them is 100k Miles.

We can test and report before building if required.

Regards

Ron

Tried getting the clamps undone and someone's rounded off number 4's 6mm retaining bolt
Access isn't great in the longnose front, do you have to take the radiator out

If itís roinded then yes. Then take a lump hammer and whack a torx 45 fully in and try again.

Gave up and just been driving it around, rattles like a bugger on idle but fine when driving.
Took the timing belt cover off and discovered the belt is slack on the back tensioner, it's not even touching it.
The pump side is tight but even with the back tensioner wound all the way round the belt is slack
I don't get it

If your belts that slack, thatís whatís causing your noise and giving [email protected] readings. As pump comes to firing point, belt will be tight on backside and as it gos past itís zenith, the pump will flick marginally due to internal spring pressure and put slack on opposite side till weight comes back on again. All this happens 5 times in 1revolution of pump donít forget so happens pretty fast.
Your belt will most likely be stretched to. Replace it with new tensioners and see how you get on.

Good luck, hope it sorts it for you.
Made a big difference on mine, donít think it was as slack as yours.
Mines a different animal all together now.
