T4 Post Icon Do side bars add value

Strange question i know but do they.I have a brand new set in the box from PPI and am thinking of selling up.These cost 170 i think(not 100%)Is it worth putting them on,got new front mud flaps as well that i;ve not fitted, same again would they add value.
When i say sell up i mean the van as well, looking for more than a badge.Got to say.the T4 has done us bloody proud

If I bought one with them fitted, they would be the first thing to be removed .............. so big personal choice question that.

Likewise I have resisted front mud flaps for over 17 years on my current T4, they can trap 'crud' and encourage rust; but maybe just need careful cleaning to avoid that. They are still available new, so will have a 'used but unused' sort of value if you know what I mean. People are always tempted by 'genuine' product though

I would be tempted to ask YOU to remove them if I were the lucky byuer

To begin with I thought people put them on to have sort of a step into the van. Then when I was told it was for the looks of it I couldn't believe it at first

Reminds me of the spoilers from the 80s. They were supposed to increase the resale value of your car and best of all saved petrol. How much will the car increase in value when you fit a spoiler made in China and sold for 20 in those days?

Flip-side.
BOTH mine are scratched to b*ggery on the bottom, and BENT slightly due to "obstructions" (rocks) not visible due to deep snow.
Without them, it would have been the cills that got wrecked.

I know which are cheaper/easier to replace!

Yeah, I'm a "pro-sidebars" person.

Oh, and you CAN use them as a step (if you get the right ones)...my 82 year old mum used it everytime she got in and out of the van!

I drive in the same conditions with lots of snow and without sidebars.....I do about 12,000 km in the winter season.

You're a bleeding southerner!

People around Oslo panic with 2" of snow! (Same as UK!)
We get 2 feet overnight!

You've seen my drive.....I'd much rather hear the sidebars scratch than the cills!
