There are no fixing points in my roof channels 2001 LWB Just all the spot welds that fix the roof to the sides and rear body of the van!!
I do look like the look of your black rails though

Hi, yes they are flat mate, these are best fitted in the gutter the same as a T5
As long as you clean your van on a regular basis and dont forget your roof you wont have any issues whatsoever
If this was a problem vw would not have added the fixing points to the T5!!

There are no fixing points on a T4 but there is on a T5 and T5.1 facelift
t4 roof rails need to be drilled and bolted

On your pic's It looks like there is an access bung on the plastic where it curves down to the mounting, if so can this be used to gain access so I may fix from above?

I want to fit rails but would rather rivet from the top to save removing the roof lining from my Velle.

Hi
I wouldn't recommend riveting roof rails on your van, i know it may be more work to fit rails on a T4 due to drilling and bolting, but its worth it for the end result

Dude, that's a lovely bus you've created Is the windscreen standard? Looks like it's got extra sun protection/tint.
Also, are those Audi wheels. Very nice.
