T4 Post Icon Right Hand Indicator glass popped out

Hi all,
Ive just travelled 6hrs back form Scotland and when i go out of my T4 i noticed that the right hand side indicator glass has popped out the indicator bulb and wiring are all there and working still.

Im aware it was properly a pothole that caused it but when i replace it what do i need to do in order to make sure it doesn't happen again please as i do this journey up to the highlands every 2 weeks

thanks in advance

Rob

You can get a replacement unit for about 10 from many used sources ....

I recently had to replace a second lens this year, this time I drilled a small hole in the webbed grey plastic and attached a spring and retaining clip, so that the lens can still be pulled out to access the bulb holder, but can't leap out on the motorway...

Yes this was annoying had this some years back, don't be tempted to glue it in there good!!

More of a bodge then previous poster but drilled a hole and fit a zip tie in there somewhere so I would not lose it
