Today I followed the guide step by step. It is extremely helpful. However I think I have made a complete pigs ear of the soldering. There was plenty of oxidisation around the contacts and having removed the old solder there appears to be no contacts left. Put it all back and I'm no worse off but no better off either. Clock, fuel and temperature gauges never work so looking to buy a replacement unit.
