T4 Post Icon Full-height cupboard in fromt of Window

My van has windows all the way aound. I am most likely going to get the original gasket type windows replaced with the slightly larger bonded style.
Also wondering if it is worthwhile blanking one off in some way to have at all cupboard for extra storage?
I've read lots of posts about people having dummy windows in the rear quarters and painting the metal panel black so the body colour does not come through. Anyone blankied off an actual hole behind the glass? Thinking it just be a matter of fixing a black painted panel on the inside? Anyone done this?

I think most have the window that is behind the tall cupboard tinted with the black non seethrough tint rather than actually using a blanking plate

OR....fit a solar panel into the space as a trickle feed to your leisure battery.

You know, that is not a bad idea. Maybe instead of dummy glass rear quarters, a pair of solar panels .....
