T4 Post Icon 1.9 TDI needle lift sensor fault

Hi all,

Had a few problems with my T4 1.9 TDI conversion, Iv sorted the air in the fuel pipes problems and finally got it on a scanner today.

I'm getting needle lift sensor (G80) input open. I'm going to get the multimeter out tomorrow and test it, probly a wiring fault as I had uprated injectors off rake 3-4 years ago.

Can anyone give me some insite into the problem reading the Internet it seems quite common?

Cheers Mike

Hi Mike

Eliminate the injector first by measuring the resistance across the connector in the injector side.
Pin to pin should read 90-120 ohms at full temp.

If it reads good then check wiring.

Iv found the wire split at the top of the number 3 injector too close to solder.

Anyone know if the wiring part can be bought or am I looking an a new-second hand injector?

Cheers Mike
