You installed it wrong, they need pulling tight as you install them. I have the Tidy T one and indeed my first fit left a 2 inch gap, so i took it off and pulled it tight on my way round fits perfectly

Above looks like a spot on match, or very close.

Took pic of my seal for comparison.

Ok so heres what was happening..

lots of water getting in

I took the seal off entirely and refitted leaving the gap elsewhere but as you can see pretty rough looking..

poured water from outside around the area where the ends meet. And in in flowed.. it comes in and down the middle of the seal. very wet everywhere.. explains why the water wasnt just in one place. And when it comes in its not just a bit.. its a lot

I have ordered the tidy ts one today. As much as id like to get the oem part I cant stretch to that.. considering I didnt plan on having to do the job at this stage..

I will take heed all the advice when fitting and let you know how it works out..

hopefully it solves the leak!

On the 3 t4's I've had all of them have the join at the bottom to the left of the tail gate catch

Mine was bang under the catch.. but I took it off and refit to see if it was causing the leak

The seal arrived today and has been fitted. Impressed with the service from tidy transporters. Top notch

it is indeed a bang on match came to 47 sterling.

And it was even the correct length too! Touch!

Thanks to all that chimed in.
