I use Waze in France BECAUSE it provides me with the speed alerts!
With the reductions in speed limits that were introduced in France last year, combined with the fact that their roads are hugely better than UK roads, it is really easy to speed, so all the better to have warnings about speeding.

Gonna take a look at that

I dont know if it has a full feature set for France Ive never used it there, but here I went through all the navigation apps whilst doing huge miles for work, copilot is the most reliable app, and the most reliable routing of all of them in my experience.

Worst case you can get speed camera apps to run in the background to alert you whilst also running other nav software.

If google would just sort their act out and put in proper camera coverage and some other feature functionality it would be a winner!

To come back to my earlier comment it appears google have FINALLY wised up.

Check this :

https://www.google.com/amp/s/techcru...countries/amp/

Very good news there will be no extra charges for cameras, speed limit info etc.

Bad news no concrete info on an exact date yet beyond "soon".

There are reports some random users are seeing the additions already (mines not yet and im signed up as a tester).

If google got/get their act together their setup would be extremely hard to compete with, as it is the updares will improve google maps/nav a lot, but theres a lot of features still lacking.

I find it extremely difficult to use anything but copilot now, the journey bar at the side is massively useful tool for seeing problem spots in the route ahead.

Forgot to add, good features aside, making it more waze like isnt good tbh, its nav software not social networking lol, the last thing to do on the event of spotting an incident is focus on interacting with your phone!

Age brings experience, discernment, common sense and good taste. Often lacking in younger moders and customisers. 🙂
