T5 Post Icon Newbie saying hello from Wiltshire.

Hi to everyone on this forum. It looks like there is plenty to read and a good source of information and advice. I have only recently bought a T5 SWB van. Its a standard 84hp (or was) with wood panelling in the rear.

In the short few weeks I have had it so far, I have put some nice stainless step plates into it, stainless running bars, a captains seat for the driver, painted the wood in the rear to brighten it up, fitted Range Rover 19" alloy wheels and last night had the ECU remapped to give me 118hp.
I bought it so that I can transport motorbikes in it mainly, but have found it so handy and enjoyable to drive, it is great.

I have a couple of other ideas for the future, black windows in the sides, electric window conversion and fog lights in the front. Any other suggestions will be taken on board as well.

My remap was done by 'Performance remap' from Gloucester. Chris is on 07897 106442. It costs 150 and worth every penny. It's like a new van, it flies now compared to before!

I don't know as yet as I haven't filled up and worked it out. I don't use it much at the moment, so it will take a couple of weeks or more before I can say for sure. I will post up when I know. Previously it was averaging 36 mpg knocking around.

The guy that did my van re-map Chris has a website as well if anyone wants to have a look at it, it is; http//www.performanceremap.co.uk

He came to my house in the evening to do it and din't leave until after 10pm when it was 100% sorted. Well worth the call if you're looking to get yours done.
