Dave,

I'm looking for a 'starter' welder. Just to teach myself simple stuff - eg metal bed frame for van, bike carrier frame...

Do you think either are suitable?

Are they easy to learn?

cheers

Mig is easy to learn, (point and squirt welding)
Arc is usually more industrial for building work,

Both will do what you want, but would recommend the mig,

Seems a good price for the sip welder!
