Wink hello to people with vans that are similar to my van....

Hi to everyone in the forum!

, I've just purchased myself a yellow ex AA van after getting rid of my 2.4d 97 caravelle which had 350,000 miles on the clock.
I got the van from banwy vans in wales, excellent service and very helpful! and then drove it home to perth, scotland (had to get the train at 5 in the morning, got home at 9:30 p.m.!)
It came with the flashing lights which are great fun, you can get ageing drivers to move out your way (helpful on the country roads near my house!).
Have just started to insulate the inside of the van and have made a bit of a mess of it! I've basically taken half the panel off, sprayed loads of waxoyle in and then stuffed with foam, bubble wrap and gaffa tape, then put the panel back on, it should work.....
I've also put boxes over wheel arches and added a bench/seat thingy which is removable so i can turn it back into a van, kind of like a transformer, or maybe not.
I will put pictures on soon so you can have a bit of a giggle at my lack of skill with a jigsaw!
This kind of led me to thinking - has anyone else made any mistakes when converting their vans?? I enjoy seeing all the great conversions but i'd really like to see some catastrophes, just to make myself feel a bit better! if anyone has any stories and or pictures they'd be much appreciated!

thanks in advance, i'm off to find the dog, she was helping with the insulating and i haven't seen her since, although i can hear her, the noise appears to be coming from behind one of the panels.......

Welcome!

You seem to have the right sense of humour at least!

Hi jimmy james,

don't look at it as white, rather look at it as 'off' or 'faded' yellow

You might change you're mind once you see my rigorous cleaning process (thats what rains for!), why do they call it a tee cut when there's no tea or cutting involved??
